Maybelline’s long history comes from a sister’s love of long, thick lashes and an experiment that would change the history of makeup.

In 1915, Tom Lyle Williams watched as his sister, Maybel, made a thick paste out of vaseline and coal powder to use as mascara. Thinking that maybe others would do the same by their own vanity mirrors, Williams decided to come up with a formula – along with the best pharmacists – to create the very first mascara.

Since then, Maybelline has been loved all around the world for quality products that adapt to all lifestyles and skin tones. Some of their most iconic products include the original, tried and tested Great Lash Mascara, the cult favourite Colossal Go Extreme Mascara, and the loved Instant Anti-Age Eraser Concealer.
