I received this as a complimentary gift with my last purchase and the first thing I enjoyed was the silicone-free formula. My hair is already very thick, so I can't comment on its thickening properties, but it definitely has an unusual innovative texture - not quite creamy, not quite jelly. It doesn't lather excessively, and despite the rich texture, it rinses off amazingly, leaving my hair deeply clean, lightweight, and nourished. The subtle scent is very pleasant. I would buy it again.
