The versatile tool offers a multitude of skincare benefits, whether used hot or cold. Used hot, the compress lends the skin a soothing effect. Used cold, the compress works to minimise the appearance of puffiness and open pores, while encouraging a more even skin tone. Pair with gua sha for optimal results.
1. Eyes: Using small zigzag movements, gently stroke the tool from the inside corner of the eye area outwards, underneath the eye socket, 8 times. Then, stroke gently outwards along the eye socket just below the brow 8 times. Repeat on the other side.
2. Forehead: Gently stroke across the forehead, just above the brows using circular movements from the centre outwards, 8 times. Repeat this movement just below the hairline, 8 times. Repeat on the other side.
3. Face: Using small zigzag movements, gently stroke the tool from the middle of the chin to below the ear, from the mouth to the ear, and from the nose to the top of the ear. Repeat each movement 8 times. Repeat on the other side.
Hot: Sit the crystal compress tool in hot water for 1 to 3 minutes and use while warm to improve circulation, relax and soothe the skin.
Cold: Submerge in cold water for 3 to 5 minutes to reduce the look of skin redness, puffiness and open pores.
