Everything I've gotten from Illamasqua has been terrific. This has been my all time favorite for sure. The right amount of Mattes and the perfect amount of shimmers. You could use this for an office job or darken it up a bit for a night out on the town. I can't wait to grow my collection of this amazing brand. Your formulas are just terrific. Playful plums and rich mustard gold nude statement. Beautifully creamy shimmers and blendable matte shades. Intensity of hues last all day and do not budge. Minimal fallout. This palette delivers. Excellent quality.

Not Your Typical Nude Palette

I've had my eye on this brand for some time. I finally got to try their Hydra-Veil Primer in a subscription box a few months ago and that hooked me. So, for Valentine's Day, I decided to treat myself and this palette was one of the items I've been eyeing for some time. I couldn't wait to try it out. The palette itself is sturdy and heavy. It comes with a decent mirror that runs the length of the inner lid with a nice width. Now, the shadows themselves are gorgeous. The mattes offer some beautiful and vibrant color pay-off and blend together wonderfully. The shimmers are bold and one-swipe wonders. They blend with each other and the mattes equally well and don't muddy over the course of the day. At first glance, this looks like your typical nude palette but the shimmers are what makes this a bit different than the average nude palettes I own. The shades Bold and Distinct, for example are beautiful shades and offer more than just your typical nude eye look. Bold is a berry pink silver and gold microshimmers. I love that this palette can be dressed up or down, can be used for a modest, work setting and can be used for a more sexy, girls night out. I am loving this palette overall and the quality is fantastic. I cannot praise this enough, I'm just super impressed with this brand and product. The possibilities are endless with this palette and I'm really happy I finally took the plunge to purchase this and finally give in to trying this brand.

I am very disappointed with this palette. All of the matte colours are *very* orangey and all of the colours are very dark. I realise that computer monitors don't give a true colour but the palette is nothing like I thought it would be. I can only use 2 or 3 of the colours; the rest are too orange or far too dark - even using the tiniest bit is too much. If you like *very* strong make up looks then it is excellent; if you're looking for something subtle, hoping to experiment with some colour, this palette is not it. I also find that it creases quite badly, even over a primer base.

Better than high end

I think this pallet is much better than high end products. I was taken aback when I first used them. The pigmentation is out of this world. I forgot about any other eyeshadow palettes I owe and for the last few weeks I have been using in my Illamasqua. You can crest many beautiful looks. The formula is great. They stay on eyes all day. If you were thinking to purchase this palette don’t think anymore. Just go for it. You won’t be disappointed.
