I don't know why they changed the formula. The original was so good. This one stings my skin so bad, I gave it to my husband instead because his skin isn't sensitive. The effaclar K is a good substitute for the original.

When purchasing this product, I was initially apprehensive because I have always used the original Effaclar Duo+. This product definitely helps 'calm' down my acne prone skin, and has had a huge impact on scarring left from spots/acne. My skin is not sensitive at-all - but I only use this at night as I find it can be quite drying. I use this alongside a rich moisturiser in the day. I will definitely continue to use this to help with scarring from acne spots, and blackheads on my nose.
