Clinique’s cult-favourite makeup remover enriched with Japanese charcoal, the Take The Day Off Balm helps to leave skin feeling clean and refreshed. The lightweight formula sets to work to remove stubborn makeup, sunscreen and impurities, while effectively detoxifying the skin.
Suitable for dry combination to oily skin types, the balm delivers a deep cleanse, helping to decongest the pores and remove pollutants and excess oil. Safflower seed oil, an emollient rich in linoleic acid, nourishes the skin and encourages a touchably soft finish. Transforming from a balm into a silky oil upon application, the balm resists leaving any greasy residue behind.

Doesn’t break my skin out and removes make up effectively. I put a bit on my face, gently rub it in and then rinse it off in the shower. A little goes a long way and I think the charcoal ingredients have done better for my acne than the regular Clinique cleansing balm which I used previously. It’s cheaper than other cleansing balms such as Elemis which whilst are great are very similar products but for a lot more money than this Clinique one. Happy with my purchase and would re-buy when running low.

Will not re purchase
Hi I love a good cleansing balm but this one feels a bit strange. Possibly the charcoal- it doesn’t feel rich and luxurious or like it’s really taking the day off- the whole process just felt a bit flat. It worked quite well, most of my makeup melted away but it weirdly didn’t feel like it was working. I would stick with the original versio .

Love this stuff, on my 2nd pot now. Stong enough to melt a full face of make up and waterproof mascara, yet gentle enough not to irritate my sensitive combo skin. Leaves skin so soft. I use a cotton pad to scoop out, put on the face, then rub in with fingers. I leave it on for a minute or so. You don't need to use a lot of product either, which is great. I follow with a garnier sensitive cleanse wash, then clinique moisture surge.
