I naturally have oily skin which has become very dry recently, due to my overuse of actives for cystic acne. I can't comment on the hydrating effects of this, as I use it as an overnight mask in my final step, after a thick moisturiser (and i cant imagine it would be that moisturising on its own, being a medium-thin cream). However, I am so impressed by its effects on my skin tone! I have medium-dark skin and my face is covered in hyperpigmentation from years of acne struggles. After just a couple weeks use, my scars are drastically faded, my overall complexion is a lot more even and brighter (not 'whiter'). An amazing product! I had been using the Paula's choice niacinamide booster for a couple of months and given up because I saw no difference at all - whereas the difference with this was obvious and instant!

Acne.
This product has a beautiful consistency and feels very hydrating on the skin. However, it broke me out really badly on areas where I never break out. I’m using the rest of this product on my hands as I don’t want to waste it. May be do a patch test before committing to using this on your entire face as this break out is taking a very long time to go away and it’s also very painful.
