Ripened
I wanted a lipstick that was a bit different to my usual go-to red so I opted for ‘Ripened’. I’ve always found matte lipstick a bit drying so wasn’t sure what to expect but I really wanted to try matte... and now I’m obsessed with it. I can’t stop applying it! It’s so soft and silky to apply - no dragging or anything which I sometimes get with matte lipstick. Also the colour is lovely!

MAC’s best formula??
I was a bit unsure as to what the powder kiss texture would be like but when it went on a dream I was an instant convert!!! It literally feels like butter!!! No dry or powder feeling at all (like the retro formulas) and sets down to a beautiful matt colour that still feels moisturised. Will repurchase “burning love” for sure!

I really wanted to love this product but i can't think of anything nice to say apart from the colour is lovely. Unfortunately the formula isn't great, i need to really rub it on my lips to get any colour pay off and still it's patchy. I also hate that it has a sweet taste when you lick your lips (some might like that) but i don;t like flavoured makeup products. Shame because i was dying to get hold of this...PS i have Scattered Petals....Other colours may apply better?

I have one of these in A Little Tamed (terrible name) and it does exactly what it's supposed to. A lovely matte pink that feels moisturising on your lips and doesn't dry them out or drag across your lips when applying as mattes so often do. Stays on very well and easy to reapply. Might be a nice one for someone new to mattes since it doesn't require as much accuracy as classics like Ruby Woo and Russian Red. MAC lipsticks are always great, but this one is particularly nice to wear and I'd definitely buy more in this range.

Lovely powder pink lipstick that slips on easily and gives a matt finish without drying the lips.Added bonus that it makes for a super soft focus eyeshadow as well. Double whammy!!

The worst lipstick
I am very disappointed with this lipstick. I bought the shade ‘sexy but sweet’ which is a beautiful shade. The formula is matte yet moisturising. It doesn’t seem to apply well to my lips and doesn’t last five minutes. I usually love Mac lipsticks and this is the only one I haven’t liked.
