MAC Prep + Prime Lip is a solid conditioning primer that will nourish and smooth lips before the application of lipstick. Formulated with antioxidants and emollients to hydrate and retexturise the lips, the colour-free base helps to reduce lipstick feathering whilst giving applied lipstick a professional and flawless finish. Presented in an easy to apply retractable stick form, Prep + Prime Lip is suitable for all skin types.

This is amazing for wearing any lip colour but for reds it is a must. I have a Pat McGrath red lipstick that just smears and is, exceptionally, messy but, when I wear this underneath it, it is just perfection. Will not be without it now.

Soft lips
I actually use this as a lip balm as well as a primer. It’s great paired with lipstick, but it’s also the first lip balm I’ve ever used which actually softens my dry lips and doesn’t dry them out more after use, which I find other balms do. A must have.

No more dry bleeding lips
If you like a matte red or a bright lip then this is a must. Keeps lips lovely and hydrated, especially under a dry lippy like Ruby woo. I take the prep and prime just slightly over the edge of the lip, then use a liner, then lippy, then sandwich the liner again. Finally something that stops lipstick bleeding into my little lip wrinkles. No more nude lips form me. Bring on the red, everyday!
