The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

Made skin tight and dry

Face wash
This face wash is not as good as the other ones I have used from this brand. It has a nice texture and easy to apply, however there was no noticeable difference to my skin. I didn't notice any improvement. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Neutrogena Clear and Defend
I liked this product - however I feel it didn't cleanse my skin as much as other products I have used. I have had a few pores on my face for the past couple of weeks and this did not clear them in this time. I will be trying it for longer to see if it makes any difference. Smoothing cleanser for oily skins
I enjoyed using this. It’s unfragranced and feels gentle and smoothing on the skin. My skin leans to the dry side and so this left my fave feeling a little tight and I would recommend as more suitable for oiler skins #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Great cleanser
I loved using this product especially in the evenings as a second cleanse. It leaves my feeling oil free and ‘squeaky’ clean. In the first few days of using I did have a breakout but I think that’s because I haven’t used any acid-based products in a while. Please don’t let that put you off!! It’s a sign that the product is working as using chemical exfoliants (such as glycolic acid) works by bringing impurities to the surface of the skin which can result in a small breakout at first. I persisted on with the cleanser and after a couple of weeks of use I can safely say my skin looks more radiant overall.

Amazing face wash
Honestly the best face wash I've used, the first week my face broke out in alot of acne, but after this my skin has cleared up lovely. I've had lots of compliments on how clear and glowy my complexion is. I will definitely be purchasing this range in future..

Not worth it
felt that it made my skin worse and I had more break outs. The smells was awful I know that is perfume free but it smelt weriod. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Good product
This face wash is good. It's non scented. Makes your skin feel and look clean. My only issue with this is it actually dried my skin out a little bit. I would still recommend this as it may not dry your skin out. If it doesn't its a great product. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample
