The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

Great cleanser, doesn't dry skin
I received this product as part of the Home Tester Club. This cleanser is light and not heavily scented. Cleans the skin well and I haven't had any breakout since I started using it. It doesn't leave the skin feeling dry. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Very drying

Didn't Agree with my Skin

So, when I first used this, my skin was instantly clear - blackheads on my nose were drastically reduced, my skin looked brighter and it seemed like it was working wonders. My skin was dry, but this was to be expected given the active ingredients and I moisturised with my normal moisturising cream. After day 3 of using this, I noticed that my entire face had these tiny raised bumps all over it and then my skin got very VERY dry. Like painfully dry and then my skin started to flake in spots - I immediately stopped using and everything resoleved after a few days of no use. I am a little unsure about trying again as I read this could be a normal side effect of the actives and the reaction should lessen with time - I think I’ll maybe try one more time to use this because I really liked how my skin looked on the first day. My sister also used this and her skin didn’t react in the same way at all her skin is GLOWING (hence the 3 stars) #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Wonders for skin

It's good

Too Harsh
Was excited to try this product, I used this only twice and had to stop using, due to the harshness of the product. This left my skin burning and so dry, I wasn’t able to even use my usual moisturiser on my skin. I don’t have sensitive skin that any of the ingredients would have affected however this product really wasn’t good. It took my skin well over a week to recover. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Face wash
The clear skin face was was ok. Wouldn’t say it fully got rid of spots, and has a slight smell of chemicals to it. Improvement would be to either add a fragrance or make sure it smells of nothing #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

A great facial wash
