The Ordinary’s 100% Plant-Derived Squalane is designed to lend your skin the hydration it deserves. Squalane – a saturated and stable hydrocarbon found naturally in the skin – is believed to have a very high emollience, making the solution an effective hydrator.
Suitable for all skin types, the formula works to leave complexions looking soft and supple. What’s more, it can even be applied to hair to support heat protection, add shine and minimise the potential risk of breakage.
Apply a few drops daily or as needed to entire face ideally after water-based treatments.

The Ordinary Squalane Oil
I love this light-weight and easily-absorbed oil. It goes on top of my moisturiser or my retinoid cream at night and makes my skin feel nourished and smooth. It soothes sensitive skin and hasn't reacted with any of my active skincare products. Many more expensive brands of squalane oil are available in pretty bottles with fragrance, but this product is perfect as is. Don't hesitate if you have sensitive skin, it'll feel wonderful.
