Formulated to provide mild exfoliation, the Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Superficial Peeling Formulation from The Ordinary promotes a smoother, more evenly-toned complexion.
The serum is fortified lactic acid, an exfoliating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to help improve the appearance of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture. The addition of a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative helps to soothe sensitive skin, while hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture.
Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.
Apply once per day, ideally in the evening. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.)

I love this - the ordinary recommended this when I asked them what would be best for sorting out my uneven skin tone (I've got a lot of redness around my checks and nose). Lactic acid what can I say this stuff is also amazing by the ordinary I put a very light coat on or use it every other day and makes your skin so hydrated you would think an acid making your skin hydrated yes absolutely and it prevents cystic acne which I’ve dealt with for quite a while especially since having to wear masks all the time due to my profession. I use Rosehip seed oil after and I wake up with glowing healthy flawless skin I love this product I’ve been using it for over 30 days so I can give an honest review definitely by this.

Good quality acid
I really like this product. After first use it did irritate my skin slightly, causing a little stinging and soreness, and I think caused a small breakout. I have since used other acids and built more of a tolerance and have now re-used this, mixed with a moisturiser and by itself. After cleansing I gently pat this on my face. It leaves my skin clearer and more dewy. I think this has helped fade scars over time. Acids are all the range now, I have definitely discovered everyone’s skin is different and reacts differently to products. You have to be consistent and find what works for you, be gentle with your skin and give it time.

There has not been a product from this brand that I haven’t loved! I use this at night and in the morning my skin is clear, radiant and fresh.
